No, not really, but we did have to change our plans. I actually don’t know why this (friendly) pirate showed up on the ship, but he had nothing to do with our change of plans.
Here’w what really happened. You may remember that our main plan for the day in Hawaii was to meet up with Jessica so that we could just spend the day together. That mission was accomplished. Unfortunately, there is more to the story. Jessica arrived in a state of less than perfect health. In fact, she was absolutely miserable, and I guess maternal instinct took over from there. We all agreed that getting to Urgent Care was the most important item on our newly-developing agenda. We found a nice facility in Pearl City, and they were able to prescribe medication that started to improve things almost immediately. Jess made it home without too much damage to her ears or too much discomfort. We are all thankful for that.
Jessica took a few days off work, and now she is much better.
This was a successful day as we see it. We did get to spend family time. Loving and caring for family is more important than climbing mountains or visiting pineapple plantations. We hope to have a fun visit with Jessica in Italy soon. We love you, Jess!
