When we are at sea on Sunday, we celebrate a quiet Eucharist in our cabin, but when we are fortunate enough to be on land, we try to find a church. On Saturday, I looked around on Google, hoping to find the right place for us. I was amazed to find that there was a GAFCON-connected Anglican church 300 yards from our hotel! We knew where we had to go.
On Sunday morning, we walked across a plaza and through a nondescript gate into the courtyard of a beautiful, and very traditional Anglican church complex of buildings.
We attended a very familiar worship service, complete with all the contemporary worship music that we are used to singing at diocesan events. On the way out, I introduced myself to the rector and delivered greetings from St. Stephen’s. To my surprise, I learned that the rector’s daughter attends All Saints, Long Beach. Small world.
Blessings,
Linda
It is so fun that you met someone who knows someone in Long Beach. What a small world. Obviously, God wanted you where you were at that time. Thanks for sharing your church story with us.
