We visited the spot along the Jordan River where the Madaba Map indicates that the baptism of Jesus took place.
It is located in just the kind of wilderness where you would imagine John the Baptist appearing from behind a bush or tree.
The actual site of the baptism is presently mostly dried up, so there is an alternate location nearby where baptisms still take place.
This person didn’t need to be baptized. I don’t know what she thought she was doing!
